RV Solar System Details

Batteries are split between the factory location and the front most storage bay. We used 2 separate battery banks because two inverters require 400amp of surge power each. Only way to safely do that is separate fused banks.

Lots of blue Victron Energy gear here, but it all has a purpose. This system is a bit unique, it recreates 240v split phase power all while balancing the loads on the inverter via the autotransformer.

What's better is this customer can still plug into 30, 20 or even 15 amp and still have that full 240v 50 amp experience. Each inverter can connect to a leg of power independantly.

The RiverStone Legacy came with factory 3 panel setup and wired into the system back behind walls we couldn't get to so we opted to leave it in place.

We installed 1200 watts of 200w Rich Solar (6) panels in a 3 parallel configuration each string into it's own 100 | 50 charger. This lets each charger optimize for it's own conditions. They could upgrade to 8 panels and run them in a 2s2p configuration without changing controllers for overpaneling.

We had a great time installing this system, it took two of us 2.5 days total.
